The best of the two bicep exercises I am about to share with you is the most basic compound bicep exercises known to man-namely the standing curl. This bicep exercise builds more muscle mass on your guns than any other exercise. This is so because of the amount of fibers in the biceps it directly activates. It hits almost every muscle fiber of your biceps so it's no surprise why it is a staple in most bicep programs

Here is how you use this bicep blaster. When you use the barbell curl – be sure to cheat. What I am trying to say is that you need to use a little bit of momentum to help you curl the weights and bar past the sticking point of this bicep exercise. I do not mean jerk your body up and down. Just simply nudge the weight up with a little momentum when you can no longer maintain proper form to help you propel the weights past the weak point of the movement. Step one is to lower the weights slowly- when you do this bicep exercise be sure to lower the weight slower than you raised it. The slow part of this training is known as negatives and you can develop more muscle with this principle than any other high intensity principle

Next tip is: Do not allow the weights to fall during the lower portion of the movement. You want to control the bicep muscle throughout the whole range of motion –this is a fantastic way to activate more muscle fibers. Sometimes the straight bar can place undue stress on your wrists. And if that is the case then switch to using an EZ-curl bar. The slight curve removes the stress from your wrists and places it more on your biceps.


The next best mother of all bicep exercises is the alternate dumbbell curls. This bicep exercise is performed the same ways as dumbbell curls the only difference is that you should move your alternate arms with each repetition. My advice when performing any dumbbell curl bicep exercises is that you should always perform them standing and never sitting.

The reason being that you can use more overload when standing and the more overload you use the bigger and more effective all bicep exercises become. Do not forget to lower the weights slowly here a substantially to genuinely get the full benefit of this movement.

Try and leave the cheating on all bicep exercises to the last repetitions of the movement. Performing cheats at the end of any bicep exercise can take your biceps past its limits and force your guns into new growth.
