The Biceps And Why You Need Big ArmsThe first body part that all bodybuilders, whether amateur or professional, show off is their biceps. All bodybuilders aspire to have big arms with great looking biceps. Why only bodybuilders, in fact all people like to have big arms and biceps to show how much strength and power that they have. However, the kind of biceps that people dream about or rather those that you see your favorite muscle man having are not easy to develop. Such big arms that will have people swooning over them require a great deal of hard work and discipline. Before starting out let me inform you that your genes also have a role in to play in deciding whether you have great looking biceps or not. If you genes support you then you can achieve the big arms with the desired results quite quickly. However, if you are not blessed with the right kind of genes then my friend the best thing to do is to pull up your sleeves and get down to work. Remember try, try, try again and you will get it. Many of you will see results instantly while some will take time. There would also be cases where many people will feel that in spite of the kind of effort that they are making they are not having the desired results in their biceps. The reasons for this could be that you are either overtraining yourself or not following the right routine for having big arms. Training the arms once every 5-7 days is typically sufficient. This is because when you work out on your other body parts also then your biceps get worked on. Space out your workout routine properly. For example, if you are training back and biceps on the same day, perhaps you should consider splitting them up. A balanced bicep routine would have both compound movements with moderate to heavy weights, along with isolated movements with a lighter weight. For big arms try performing three sets each, of four different exercises such as 2-3 compound exercises and 1-2 isolation exercises. However, limit your overall sets to 12 to avoid the danger of over training. |
