Biceps!! Gotta Have Them

biceps

The biceps have to the most favorite muscle when it comes to bodybuilding. No other muscle is giving so much focus and so much attention then biceps. The newbie's that come to the gym to the seasoned veterans all love biceps. It's just the way it looks on the body. Nothing nicer than a big defined bulging biceps. The girls love it and the men want it and envy yet so no doubt if you want a perfect body you got to have the perfect biceps.

So what is an ideal bicep? Well that is left for discussion. Everyone has a picture of the perfect biceps but if there was a foundation for a perfect bicep what would be the characteristics. Well I think the minimum size for a good biceps is 18 inches. That may be a dream for a lot of bodybuilders but understand it is realistic and I will get to that in a minute but let's continue with the characteristics of the perfect bicep. So 18 inches minimum is the right range. The biceps have to have to be long with a nice peak. Not skinny and popping you don’t want to look like Popeye but you do want a peak when you squeeze your biceps. It also needs to be defined and clearly cut from your triceps. The bicep need to look like they stand alone.

So how does one acquire the perfect biceps? Is there some sort of secret method in which one could follow and acquire the perfect bicep? Some sort of magic elixir. If you are a true body builder then you already know. There is no magic when it comes to bodybuilding their simply isn’t. It takes hard hard work. But more than hard work it takes smart work .it takes the right work. That’s the only way you can acquire the perfect biceps. So what is the right work? What is the right way?

It's all about the work. You need to train right when it comes to bicep. You need to follow programs that are overall. Program that hit biceps from all angles. Programs that hit the inner head and the outer head. Programs that have you doing Straight bicep curls to incline curls to EZ bar curls. You need a program that is total and over all nothing that relies on the same movements being done over and over again. The body can adapt and the bicep is no different. If you keep doing the same moves over and over will do nothing to help you develop your biceps. You need different moves that attack different angles otherwise its safe to say you are just wasting your time. Aside from the moves you need to perform you need to really put in work. If you finish your bicep workout and feel like you have done nothing likely hood is that you have indeed done nothing. You need to squeeze and lift every single inch out of your biceps and that's the champion's way of building muscle that is the only way to build muscle and that’s the only way to get big biceps.

Rep ranges. You need to vary rep ranges. Why?
Because a perfect bicep is as defined as it is big and rep ranges are what decide these factors. You need to be able to lift heavy for low reps .as low as six reps to build some size and strength into your biceps. You need to also lift weights in the 8 to 10 rep range this rep range allows you to put on some mass and will give you that puffy look that your are probably desiring. Now you need to perform exercises in the high rep range to really bring out the definition in your arm. As I said earlier in this article your biceps need to stand alone and they wont if they are not defined. You don’t want you arm to look like one big blob. You won't the bicep to be ripping out of your arm and 15 to 20 rep range is the perfect range for such work.
Nutrition.
Nutrition is key when it comes to bodybuilding. I am sure you already know that. If you don’t eat right your not going to grow right. If your training and just eating whatever, whenever. Then you are definitely not gonna build any biceps let alone perfect biceps. Nutrition is key. You need to be eating sufficient protein. Its all about protein when it comes to bodybuilding. You need to from 1 to 2 grams of protein per pound of bodyweight. So if you weigh 220 lbs then 220 grams of protein spread throughout the whole day will be perfect in order to build the perfect biceps. Carbohydrates are also crucial. Eating a sufficient amount of carbohydrates will be necessary because carbs are what fuels growth so you cant avoids them. Of course this does not mean you should gobble down food like your crazy. It means you should eat enough. Try and spread your meals to 4 to 5 small meals per day that should insure you eating right and not eating to much on one session. Also you need to stay away from the fats. Meaning no French fries and no chocolates and sugary treats. These tasty delight will serve to push you away from your goal of having perfect biceps.

Another thing to do is to try and work your biceps twice a week. Working them more will only serve to help you attain the look you want. But that doesn’t mean you burn your biceps non stop everyday that will kill your biceps. What you should do is train them once and rest for a minimum of 48 hours in between bicep workouts before you try to train them again. Your biceps need ample rest. They are a small muscle so they may need less time to recover but they need time nonetheless. Don’t abuse your biceps and they will grow

These are the things to follow if you wish to build the perfect biceps. There not to far away if you are truly serious about building your biceps. All you need is hard work, right work and proper nutrition and a little bit of time and you are one your way to having the perfect biceps.
