Prevent a Biceps Ruptured Tendon

Biceps ruptured tendon is a cause for concern. The rupture in the tendon of the biceps happen due to poor form and technique adopted. It happens with those who are not properly informed on the right way to perform the exercises. It is always better to take your precious time and learn the right form and technique before doing an exercise, than to regret later. Do not sacrifice form to gain muscle mass. Improper technique will lead you into injuries. When you sacrifice form to heave heavier weights, problems like low back problems, tennis elbow and biceps tendonitis can develop. You can recover back from rupture of the tendons by strictly following the doctor's prescription. Adequate rest is the key to recovery. Returning back to training must also be gradual. Since precaution is better than cure, keep yourself well informed to avoid injuries like biceps ruptured tendon.

Biceps ruptured tendon can be prevented by following proper form and technique in doing each exercise. While exercising the biceps, it is important to stand erect. To perfectly focus your effort over the biceps, avoid leaning towards your back. The elbows must be kept close to your side without lifting up the elbows. Most important of all is doing adequate warm ups before starting the workouts. 5 to 10 minutes on the treadmill will be ideal to warm up your body. Before starting to perform any exercise also do 15 to 20 reps of the exercise with lighter weights. A warmed up muscle will flex better than one which is not. Chances of injury increase if the muscles are not properly warmed up. Adequate warm up can prevent injuries like the biceps ruptured tendon.
