Prevent a Biceps Tear by training the arms correctly

Biceps tear can happen if proper form and technique is not followed while exercising. Adequate warm up is essential before the actual exercises to enable the muscles to flex properly. A muscle which is properly warmed up will flex better than the one which is not warmed up. Sudden flexing of the muscles will lead to injury. Muscle growth occurs because during workouts the muscles get

damaged. After workouts, the muscles enter into the repair mode, where it not only makes up for the loss, but also over-compensates and results in the growth of the muscles. The damage to the muscles occurs only when the muscles are forced to workout beyond the ability of the muscles. When the muscles are forced too much beyond it can take, muscle injury like biceps tear occurs.

Biceps tear is common with bodybuilders. While weight lifting for bigger arms, it is a tendency at times to stretch the workouts beyond limits. Bodybuilders and powerlifters who have sustained biceps injuries have successfully recovered and continued with their profession. To avoid muscle tear, perform adequate warm up before starting the exercise. Use lighter weights and perform 15 to 20 reps of the exercise you are about to do. Another 5 to 10 minutes on the treadmill will be more beneficial to the warm up process to avoid biceps tear.

Biceps tear can also occur when the muscles do not get adequate nutrition to recuperate from the damage it had already sustained during previous workout. Weight lifting for bigger arms needs to be supported with proper diet. Adequate supply of proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals are essential for the muscles to stay healthy and avoid injuries like biceps tear.
