Here is how to prevent Biceps Tenodesis
Biceps
Tendonitis Biceps tenodesis is a medical treatment for injured biceps. Biceps can get injured due to a variety of reasons. The prime reason is attributed to not following proper exercising procedure. The muscle of the arms also gets injured, when the muscles are not adequately warmed up. Muscles flex better when they are properly warmed up. The most important aspect in building up the biceps is the use of proper form and technique. Faulty technique can lead to injury of your muscles. You may at times tend to force yourself into doing more to complete your reps even though your body is not ready to take it. It is this attitude that leads you into injury. The ideal weight would be anything that allows you to complete at least 6 to 10 full reps. If you want to try anything adventurous, then keep yourself updated on tackling biceps tenodesis. Biceps tenodesis can be avoided through proper selection of exercises for the biceps that allow you to feel the muscle working to its optimum, and contracting the muscle to its fullest. During workouts create a forceful contraction and stress the muscle optimally so that the biceps reaches the momentary failure quickly. Do not overstress your biceps and develop biceps tenodesis. Biceps tenodesis can be treated through a mini-open operation. A simple biceps tenodesis procedure involves using a 1-2 inch anterior axillary incision and firmly fixing it in the proximal humerus. The muscle of the arms takes time to get firmly rooted. After the procedure, the arm is rested on a neutral rotation sling immobilizer. Also after the operation, light and gentle biceps exercises are begun to gradually restore it back. Such injuries can occur if bodybuilders do not adopt proper workout techniques to avoid biceps tenodesis. |
