Training Your Biceps And Triceps

Biceps And Triceps Out of all the other body parts, the biceps and triceps have the most exercises that apply to them. Makes sense since the triceps are made out of three heads and the biceps out of two. 5 heads in total. Each head needing work. So it's no surprise why the amounts of exercise are actually extensive. The arms are a very important muscle because they are secondary to almost every other body parts move. When you perform back movements or chest movements or shoulder movements. Your biceps and triceps are constantly working. So they do in a sense get worked when performing other muscle parts but that’s still not enough and you need to attack them on their own as well if you ever hope to get decent looking big arms

With the amount of information and exercises available out there when it comes to biceps and triceps, a person has tons of choices. But this abundance of exercise doesn’t mean they all are effective. Below you will find two of the most effective biceps and triceps exercises, how to perform them, and the equipment needed

Bicep curls. The bicep curl is most used movement when it comes to building bigger and better biceps. The movements are simple: hold a weight in your hand. Be it a loaded barbell or a dumbbell. Now extend your arms fully till they are hanging down. Now using your bicep muscle with your elbows fixed. Simple curl the bar till it reaches full contraction then repeat. This basic curl motion of moving the weight from the bottom to the top creates a limitless variation of exercise you can perform. And you need fully developed from every angle if you want good looking arms. The biceps and triceps have to be worked properly. Now a basic curl is usually done using barbells. But you can use EZ barbells. These can help you focus on certain fibers on your biceps. Not to mention using dumbbells. Dumbbells are an excellent choice for curls because the each arm has to fend for it self. This can help improve imbalances. Not to mention better range of motion. You can perform curls sitting on a preacher bench or you sit on inclined benches and perform curls. Not to mention curl machines and cables are all different variations of the bicep curl and all can add to the biceps and triceps look.

Tricep Extensions: The tricep extension is done by lying on a bench with a barbell or dumbbells extended upward. Then, without moving the upper arms, bend at the elbow until the weight lies only an inch or so above the forehead. Using the triceps, press the weight back into starting position. This basic motion can be repeated or recreated in a variety of arm exercises, such as the standing dumbbell extensions or dumbbell kickbacks, but the working motion is still basically the same. As with all weight lifting, a variety of weights, barbells and dumbbells, and benches are needed to perform this exercise. Other arm exercises designed to focus on the triceps can be found in different weight machines.
